Swimming Pool Lighting

The core of every aquatic installation.
Light That Transforms Every Pool

A pool without lighting is infrastructure. A pool with the right lighting is an experience. The difference between a dark water surface at night and a luminous, colour-rich aquatic environment is entirely a function of the luminaires installed, their quality, their placement, and their engineering.

HydroSystems® swimming pool lighting covers every pool construction type, every installation method, and every aesthetic requirement, from functional single-colour white illumination to full RGB dynamic colour systems with synchronised multi-light control. Every product is IP68 certified, UL listed, and engineered for permanent submersion in chemically treated pool water.

Why Pool Lighting Engineering Matters

Pool luminaires operate in conditions that eliminate any margin for engineering compromise:

Permanent chemical exposure : chlorine, bromine, and pH chemicals at pool concentrations attack standard materials, degrade seals, and corrode untreated aluminium. Every material in a pool luminaire must be selected specifically for this environment.

Hydrostatic pressure : a luminaire installed at 1.5m depth faces continuous water pressure on every seal and cable entry. One failure means water ingress, electrical fault, and a safety incident in a body of water occupied by people.

Structural waterproofing vs glue-filling : the critical distinction most buyers never ask about. Lower-grade products achieve their IP rating through glue-filling, adhesives that degrade over time as pool chemicals attack them. HydroSystems® luminaires use structural IP68 waterproofing, sealed mechanical enclosures with precision-engineered gaskets and pressure-tested ratings that maintain integrity for the full product lifetime.

Electrical safety : pool luminaires operate in the most safety-critical electrical environment that exists in a residential or commercial installation. Low voltage operation, proper isolation, and certification to relevant electrical safety standards are non-negotiable.

Optical performance in water : light behaves differently in water than in air. Beam angles, colour rendering, and luminous intensity all change at the water-air interface. Pool luminaires must be designed and tested in their actual operating medium.
